Xiaomi has officially released its latest version of MIUI 8 . It would be the latest version to be expected for the customization layer before MIUI 9 arrives , which will be very soon. The new MIUI 9 update includes some new features such as the split screen function.
MIUI 8 with split screen
MIUI 8 is a bit late for a feature that is already available on many phones and tablets. So far could not be done with the layer of customization of the brand. Since Xiaomi have ensured that this has not been possible so far in MIUI by third-party applications. Now, it arrives with the new update.
To access split screen mode just click on “split screen mode” and access the function to see two applications at a time as we can see in Android Nougat, for example.
Other features that come with the new version of MIUI 8 is simplified support for dual cards, improved screen sliding or improvements in cleaning the phone such as cleaning empty folders.

Xiaomi published only a few days ago the list of phones that would update to Android Nougat in the coming months. Some of their most popular phones were left out of the list but now they can be among those who receive the latest MIUI 8update and also have access to interesting features.
It is surprising that in the list of smartphones that will receive the latest version ofMIUI 8 is not the current insginia vessel of the brand, the Xiaomi Mi 6. Everything seems to indicate that Xiaomi is saving the current phone to go directly to MIUI 9, its great Update the layer of customization that is expected this summer.
In recent days we have seen new images of MIUI 9 that would show that the layer would work with Android 7.0 Nougat. Also, in the latest screenshots filtered, you could see the multi-tasking option of the split-screen Xiaomi layer that now reaches MIUI 8. A much cleaner layer, it seems, than we are accustomed in Android Nougat.
