Yesterday we also informed that Xiaomi will launch the Xiaomi Mi 5X as well as the update MIUI 9 next July 26, this being the smartphone chosen to release the new operating system of the Chinese brand. The Mi 5X has already been included in the online shop of Xiaomi in China so that users can reserve the smartphone and, thanks to it, we can already see the first official images of the Xiaomi Mi 5X.
Official Xiaomi Mi 5X images reveal that the smartphone hits the market in three color options: black, gold and rose gold. There is nothing special in the design of the phone, as it looks quite like earlier mid-range models of the brand but with the addition of a double camera in the back of the phone’s metal body.
The bottom of the phone has the standard 3.5mm audio jack, a USB-C (or micro USB, as it is yet to be confirmed) and a speaker. The right side of the phone has the usual volume keys and the power key while the back of the phone has a dual camera module accompanied by a dual – tone flash in the upper left corner. The back of the Xiaomi Mi 5X also features a fingerprint reader and the top and bottom edges of this back panel feature antenna lines.
More features of the Xiaomi Mi 5X
There are not many more details available on the specifications of the Xiaomi Mi 5X. A net-filtered poster last week revealed that the smartphone is starring in a 5.5-inch screen that would likely present HD resolution. The smartphone would have a chipset Snapdragon 625 along with 4 GB of RAM and can be bought for a price of 1,999 yuan, that is, about 19276.65 Indian Rupee (301.10017 USD/260 euros to change). At the moment the Xiaomi Mi 5X has already been reserved by more than 200,000 people.
Speculation indicates that the Mi 5X will feature a 12-megapixel dual camera system that will include a Sony IMX386 sensor and a Samsung S5k3m3 sensor. Its front camera will be 16 megapixels and it is almost certain to also market a more powerful variant with 660 Snapdragon CPU and 6 GB of RAM.
The Xiaomi Mi 5X launch event will be held on July 26 at the Beijing National Convention Center. It will be then when we know all its official characteristics as well as the complete details of MIUI 9.
