Once again, it is industry insider Evan Blass, who spits the manufacturers into their soup and reveals image material to previously unpublished smartphones. On Twitter, Blass has made the press release of the Nokia 8 and thus the new top model of HMD Global public.
As with Nokia 5 and Nokia 6, HMD Global relies on a physical home button, flanked by two capacitive buttons for the back-up function and the most recently opened applications. A fingerprint sensor should also be hidden in the central button.
More interesting is the back of the Nokia 8. Here the vertical image sensor plays the main roll, which equals two Camera Lenses at the same time. The Nokia 8 also seems to jump on the dual camera trend of recent times. The optics are provided by the German camera specialist Zeiss, as can easily be seen on the company label of the traditional manufacturer. The cooperation is hardly surprising, after all, both companies announced a long-term partnership only a few weeks ago .
Nokia 8 with Snapdragon 835 and 4 GB of RAM
On the technical side, the Nokia 8 latest rumors, among other things, a 5.3-inch display with the WQHD resolution of 2.560 x 1.440 pixels . Under the hood is expected the Snapdragon 835, which is supported by either 4 GB or even 6 GB of RAM. The above-mentioned dual cameras are each to resolve with 13 MP.
It is still unclear, when the Nokia 8 will be officially presented. The next opportunity would be provided by IFA 2017, which will take place in Berlin in early September. According to a Scandinavian retailer, the new Nokia flagship will be available from July 31st – at the comparatively low price of Approx-R.s.43687 (589 euros).
If the price would actually be true, the Nokia 8 would undercut the established Android competition in some cases clearly. We can be curious!
