Samsung has a portfolio of smartphones for all tastes, needs and budgets. From the top of the Galaxy S and Galaxy Note range, to the middlemen of the Galaxy A line. Finally we have the entry range of the Galaxy J line that will be about to receive two new members. The Galaxy J7 (2017) and Galaxy J5 (2017) are due to be presented very soon, having already been subject to several information leaks but today we have something even better.
Both the Galaxy J7 (2017) and the Galaxy J5 (2017) have not yet been officially announced although we have seen the technical features and renders and general appearance of both smartphones several times . In addition, the brand itself has somehow confirmed its existence so it should not be long before they are officially presented.
Both devices have already arrived in Russia , at least so it seems that we now have two very detailed videos with the Galaxy J7 (2017) and Galaxy J5 (2017). These will be the next smartphones of the South Korean economic giant and we can see them in all its splendor. Unfortunately the videos are not subtitled but, if the language is not an impediment to you, you can even leave in the comments a summary of everything that was said.
Samsung Galaxy J7 (2017)
Both the Galaxy J7 (2017) and the Galaxy J5 (2017) are built in metal and share the same design, varying essentially in the size of the screen and the device itself. We can see that both devices use the latest version of Google’s operating system, Android 7 Nougat and, unlike the Galaxy J that preceded them, these Galaxy J7 (2017) and Galaxy J5 (2017) have a fingerprint reader Or biometric sensor.
In terms of technical features or specifications, the Galaxy J7 (2017) comes equipped with a 5.5-inch screen with 1080p Full-HD resolution. Inside we have a processor made by Samsung itself, the Exynos 7870 with 8 processing cores in addition to 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage expandable through a microSD memory card.
On its back we have a main 13MP camera with LED flash and, on the front, another 13MP camera for all your selfies , also with an LED flash. To maintain the Galaxy J7 (2017) we will have a 3600mAh battery which seems to me to be an excellent capacity. Overall, the Galaxy J7 (2017) looks like a very capable mid-range device.
Samsung Galaxy J5 (2017)
This Galaxy J5 will be the smallest “brother” of the Galaxy J7 (2017) and will use the same Exynos 7870 processor with the same 13MP cameras on the back and the front. However, your screen will be 5.2 inches with 720p HD resolution and will have 2GB of RAM (with 16GB of internal memory expandable through a microSD card.) Your battery will also be a bit smaller but has a good 3000mAh capacity.
Price and dates – Galaxy J7 (2017) and J5 (2017)
At the moment we do not know when the Galaxy J7 (2017) and Galaxy J5 (2017) will officially appear but I believe it will be very soon. Both smartphones should strengthen this Galaxy J line and should be distributed across all major world markets similar to its predecessors. These smartphones have characteristic features of the brand such as the central button “Home” and the capacitive navigation buttons. They also have the volume selection buttons on the left side and the typical On / off button on the right side.
An aspect that stands out in its design are the antenna lines present in its rear. With a sharp bow, the lines appear to be made of plastic and are required for both the Galaxy J7 (2017) and the Galaxy J5 (2017) – or any other smartphone mostly made of metal – to have good network reception. Its rear chambers will not have any protrusions, and are perfectly incorporated with the design of the entire rear panel of the new equipment.
The price of the Galaxy J7 (2017) and J5 is expected to stay in the range of $ 200 to $ 300 dollars (₹12000 – ₹20000) depending on the model and market that smartphones target. This year its build quality is once again improved and now uses metal. They should be available in various colors, from Light Blue, Gold Pink, Gray and Gold. Its arrival in the markets will take place this summer, shortly after its official presentation.
Samsung’s entry-level equipment has always been quite popular. In fact, they are the best-selling smartphones around the world and, although they are not the most profitable for the brand, they help to spread its name. I have no doubt that both the Galaxy J7 (2017) and the J5 will be well received, with the Galaxy J3, the smallest and most economical of the new line J. It stands out for its quality of construction and its most elegant aspect . They will undoubtedly be a good alternative for those looking for a smartphone more in mind or simply do not need – or do not want to – buy a high-end smartphone.
And you, what do you think of these new Galaxy J7 (2017) and Galaxy J5 (2017)? What would be the ideal price for these new Samsung?
